Why Can’t I Print?

(Gateway Performance XL 1300 Only)

As there was no printer connected to the Gateway XL 1300 during installation, the default printer was set to the Symantec Fax Starter Edition. This is probably not what you would want as your default printer. To change the default printer so that you may automatically print on the HP LaserJet 1100, unless you choose otherwise, please follow the instructions below.

  1. Click on Start, Settings, Printer.
  2. Right click on LASERJET1100 on DELL433.
  3. Click on Set as Default Printer.
  4. Close the Printers Window.

You may now print to the HP LaserJet 1100 from any application without having to select it manually every time.
